Parenting Lingo

When you become a parent, you speak a certain lingo...

You say things to grown adults like,
1)"I have to go potty."
2)"Yeaa, good job." (this is said along with a soft playful clap)

Before introduced into parenthood, you never expected saying things like,
1) "Please don't touch your wee wee, it has germs on it."
2)"Don't lick the pole, other people might have licked it."
3) "Bend over and show me your butt so I can wipe the poop off."
4) "When you are done pooping yell for me so I can get you off the toilet, last time you scooted off and rubbed poop on the seat."
5) "Stop looking at your poop and flush the toilet."
6) "Just because the dog poops outside does not mean you can poop outside, you can only pee on trees."

I am sure the list goes on and on...but as we say these things, we say them with the most serious faces. And for some reason, yes, POOP is a common word around my house. Weird I know, but to a 3 year old, seeing his poop is a fascinating thing (?)

My oh my, what we say and do as parents! And for me, it has only begun!!!!

And, oh my love, it has only just begun!! Wait until you have a lil Gracie crawling around and doing things too. Write everything down. You will laugh at it later! :D

yeah hope you like the word poop. And once that is out of "necessary" talk it becomes a big joke. You should read my blog Terdnado.
